Sabre 1800 TLWD Guyed Tower Kits


TESSCO is pleased to offer our customers the Sabre Site Solutions 1800 TLWD Guyed Tower. The Sabre 1800 TLWD guyed tower is a pre-engineered guyed structure that has been designed for use in a number of communications applications. Strength and efficient design make this tower the premier 18-in face structure in the industry.

All towers are designed per ANSI/TIA/EIA-222-F-1996 and are built with 1.66-in OD SCH 40 tubular legs and ½-in solid serpentine bracing. The Sabre 1800 TLWD guyed tower is comprised of 10-ft sections and engineered to reach a maximum height of 400-ft. Acceptable antenna loading information can be found within the individual tower profiles.

The effects of torsion have not been considered in the EPA values shown. These EPA values are correct for symmetrically loaded instances where torque is not present (such as one top mounted antenna at the center of the tower, or three leg mounted panel antennas symmetrically mounted around the tower).

Should torque be present, the allowable EPA value shown will be reduced. In some cases this reduction will be significant. Please consult with your TESSCO representative to determine if torque need be considered and how much the allowable EPA value will be reduced due to its inclusion.
  • EPA is the actual area seen by the wind of an appurtenance (antenna, mount, etc.) multiplied by a force coefficient. It is not necessarily the value published by the appurtenance manufacturer
  • ANSI/TIA/EIA-222-F-1996 recommends that designs be evaluated by a registered professional
  • Custom engineering of the 1800 TLWD gueyd tower is available for non-stock loading requirements
  • All tower kits include complete tower steel and hardware, complete guying system, anchor shafts and one (1) foundation design based on normal soil.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
  • Ship weights do not include dunnage or guy spools
  • Ship length of guy cables is 10% greater than the lengths shown
  • All EPAs are given in square feet
  • Roof-mounted towers require an engineering review
  • For towers where the consideration of ½-in radial ice is either specified or prudent for the locale, the selected tower must meet all Effective Projected Area (EPA) requirements for both the ice and no ice conditions.
  • Designs assume towers are ground-mounted on a flat, level site with a dead weight of 500-lbs (no ice) and 700-lbs (with ½-in radial ice) applied at the top of the tower
  • Wind speeds shown with ½-in radial ice are not concurrent wind speeds. All towers designed with ½-in radial ice consider the standard EIA reduction in wind load with ice.
