It is highly recommended and even required in some companies to have employees properly trained in life saving techniques. TESSCO is proud to offer a comprehensive program that efficiently trains industry professionals in multiple areas that have proven to save lives. The standards for CPR changed dramatically in November 2005 and it is important to keep your workforce updated and apprised of the latest information with the new changes. Many companies offer a CPR class without First Aid or AED, but this class includes CPR/First Aid/AED and Blood Borne Pathogen (BBP) information and/or certification. The content of this course is endorsed by the American Heart Association and will be taught to their cirriculum requirements. The day consists of written,oral and DVD presentations for maximum retention in a medical emergency, with hands-on pratice on AMBUman, a patented hygienic system. Participants are taught about the industry specific scenarios most likely to occur, that would require the use of their newly acquired skills. Also discussed are home medical emergencies relevant to all age groups, from infancy to geriactric. This course is designed to meet the requirements of OSHA 1910.1030, the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.
