New Worksheet Design and Enhanced Alternative Product Offering: June 2008

Worksheet Design

TESSCO's e-commerce team has developed an exciting new design for TESSCO.com worksheets. The new design permits more information to be displayed by using a standard tabular format for product availability and pricing (see the red arrows, below).

New menu functionality has been added to worksheets as well. These new functions include:

Deleting more than one line-item at a time.
Import AND export functionality, allowing you to upload a .CSV spreadsheet to a TESSCO.com worksheet and to convert a worksheet into a .CSV spreadsheet.
View all worksheets for your login and/or account (see image, below). This is how you view all worksheets while working within a previous worksheet.
Access your customer preferences.
Add line-item comments to your worksheet.
and a direct link to online worksheet help.

Product images and descriptive overviews have also been added to the worksheet. SImply click on the small product image for an enlargement, or move your mouse over the TESSCO sku number for a pop-up descriptive overview (including the manufacturer's name & part number and short description)

Customizing your worksheet experience has never been easier! From your worksheet simply choose the "Tools" menu and then "preferences" to specify which columns of worksheet data are displayed. For example, maybe you prefer to only view the TESSCO sku number and availability on your worksheet. On the preferences page, click on the "worksheet tab", and choose which fields you want to be displayed.

Alternative Product Offering

TESSCO.com worksheets now clearly show if a product is available (see green arrow, below) or if an extended delivery is necessary with estimated delivery dates (see red arrow, below).

If a product is not immediately available TESSCO.com allows you to find alternative products right from your worksheet. Simply click the "view" link in the "alternative" column (see blue arrow, above).

Direct substitutes are highlighted in red, to which you can "accept" the substitute and TESSCO.com will swap the original item for the sub. If alternatives exist, you can choose the alternative (adding it to your worksheet) and then remove the entire original item's quantity, or keep some of them if a smaller quantity is available.
