Tutorial: Registration and Log-In

TESSCO.com makes it easy to become a customer and/or register with your own login name and password.  Here's how:

Become a Customer

  • To begin the process go to www.TESSCO.com, move your mouse over the "About TESSCO" menu, and click on the "Become a Customer" link.
  • You will be asked to provide some basic information about your company and yourself.
  • TESSCO will process your application and, once qualified, set up your account promptly and take action to send you any material requested and register you on TESSCO.com.  An account representative may contact you for further discussion regarding your new account setup.

NOTE: It may take until the next business morning for your account to be active.

Registration (for existing customers)

  • Registration is fast and easy.
  • You only need to register one time.
  • Customers can browse products, see pricing and availability, place orders, track delivery, print invoices, view purchase history and more. Customers will need to have their account number, billing zip code, and telephone number available.  Verification of this information is required, and discussed below.

Registration Process

On the TESSCO.com homepage click on the "Register Now" link (in red text) on the right side of the page. 

 

The first step of our registration process will ask if you are already a TESSCO customer.  Select the radio button (in green, below) stating that you are already a customer.  Then enter your email address at the bottom and click on the yellow "Register Me" button. 

If your company has previously established a TESSCO account, please do NOT select a market (pointed with the pink arrow, below).

 

"Registration - Step 2 of 2" will prompt you for your name, account information, phone number, and desired username & password.  For enhanced security we recommend using a unique username, such as your email address. 

Plesae provide as much informaiton as possible - this will assist TESSCO in locating your registration request and existing account.  Once you are done filling out the registration form, click "Register Me".

NOTE: User Name and Password are case sensitive.

 

After submitting your request, TESSCO.com will advise "You Are Almost Finished" and present two options:

  • You may login and immediately place an order with a credit card, standard commercial pricing, and any applicable tax.  OR.....
  • Gain full access to your company's TESSCO account, pricing, order history, and tax exempt status (if applicable) by calling our Webhelp team at 1-800-508-5444,  Upon verification of your informaiton, a Webhelp team member will finalize your TESSCO.com registration.

You will also receive an automated email message asking you to log into TESSCO.com via an embeded login link (in the email message).  This simply authenticates the email address included with your registration request. 

 

Log In

  • Log-in is required to view your TESSCO account's pricing and order history.
  • The log-in process can be as simple as one click: just check the “remember me" option and from then on the user-id and password fields will be automatically populated.  Should you desire more login security you can leave these fields unchecked. If you want to auto-fill your e-mail address but NOT your password, see the section on "Edit User Preferences".
  • TESSCO.com monitors network traffic continually. If you haven't used a page that requires logging in for at least 45 minutes, you will be requested to log in again.

 

Forgot your password?

No problem!    It's very easy to reset your password and only takes a few minutes.  Just do the following:

 

1.  Enter your login name in the "User ID" field, then click on the "I forgot my password" link located beneath the password field.

 

2,  A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm the request.  Click OK to proceed.  TESSCO.com will send you a tempoaray password via e-mail and confirm that the e-mail has been sent.

 

 

3.  Open your e-mail client (such as Outlook or Outlook Express) and look for an email from TESSCO@tessco.com .  The subject line will read “Your new TESSCO.com password”.  Open the email and copy the temporary password.  The period shown at the end of this password is NOT part of the passwrod.

4.  Next, go back to TESSCO.com and enter your login name and paste in the temporary password.  After clicking on “login”, TESSCO.com will take you to our “reset forgotten password” page.  Paste in the temporary password (again) in the first field, and then enter a “new” permanent password in the bottom two fields.   Lastly, click on the yellow “>>” button.

You have now successfully reset your password and logged into TESSCO.com.  Notice how the site welcomes you and shows your account number in the upper-right corner:  Should you need additional assistance please call 1-800-508-5444 or you may send an e-mail to webhelp@tessco.com.
