    Tutorial: Track Your Order

    TESSCO.com lets you track your most recent 150 orders, providing you with several layers of details about your delivery.  This powerful tool enables you to see exactly where you order is located and when the carrier expects to deliver your order.  With one click you can see the TESSCO transaction number, the number of boxes, all the associated tracking numbers (each box has its own number), the shipment date and the delivery date if it has arrived.

    First, login with your username and password.  Once logged in, move your mouse over “My Account” and click on “My Orders”.  TESSCO.com will bring you to the "My Orders" page, listing your recent orders.  At this point, there are two ways to track an order.

    Option 1

    A fast-track option is available if you enter the TESSCO transaction number on the right side of the page and click on the yellow “Track Delivery” button.     This option will not show backorder releases (if applicable to your order).

    Next you will see the Order Tracking details.   This includes the delivery address, carrier ID (such as Fedex or UPS), and the tracking number.  Depending on the size of your order, multiple containers may need to be used for delivery.  If so, these containers will be listed here.  To view the carrier's tracking results click on the tracking number.

    A new web browser window will open, TESSCO.com will plug in the tracking number into the carrier’s web site, and the tracking information will be displayed.

     

     

    Option 2

    This option is not as simple, but is more detailed and is the best method to track orders if any products were backordered when the original order was placed.

    On the “My Orders” page, click on the transaction number you wish to track.

    Each line item will show a “shipped” status once that item leaves our warehouse for delivery.  Notice how the last item has a different transaction number.   That is because this item was originally backordered and has since released.  Backorder releases are assigned a new transaction number and must be tracked separately.  To track an item, click on the “shipped” link for that line item.

    Next, click on the carrier’s tracking number.  A new web browser window will open.  TESSCO.com will plug in the tracking number into the carrier’s web site and display the tracking results.

    Some additional information to keep in mind:
    • TESSCO has two warehouses – one in Hunt Valley, MD and the other in Reno, NV.  Sometimes an order will partially ship from both facilities, resulting in two transaction numbers (usually 1-digit apart, such as 123450 and 123451).  TESSCO calls this a “split order”.  Use option two to trace a split order and reference the lower-numbered transaction number.
    • Drop-shipment deliveries are not traceable on TESSCO.com.
    • Backordered items are released via a new transaction number.  If an order is placed as NO to partial, the new transaction number must be entered to track the order.  Option two is your best choice.
