    Tutorial: Worksheet Comments

Have you ever wanted to add comments or notes to your worksheet or individual line items? Now you can add:

    • Internal part numbers that correspond to TESSCO sku
    • Accounting info for each part
    • Notes for the receiving department
    • Project/cost allocation for specific products

Or anything else you may find useful. Both header comments and individual line item comments are possible.

    Worksheet (Header) Comments

Worksheet (header) comments appear on your TESSCO.com worksheet, but do not appear on the final packing list or invoice.   To insert worksheet comments on the top of the worksheet (as opposed to after each line item), click "Worksheet Comments" next to the worksheet name (as shown below).

You will be taken to the main Worksheet Comments page, where you can enter up to 4000 characters of script. Simply enter the comments and click OK.  You will return to the Worksheet, and your comments will be posted below the worksheet name.

    Line-Item Comments

TESSCO.com also allows you to enter comments under each line item in the worksheet.  Line-item comments will appear on your packing list and invoice, but do not instruct TESSCO to perform a particular function related to your order.  To add line-item comments, check the box next to the desired item, then move your mouse over the "Edit" menu, and then choose "Line Comment".

You will then be taken to a similar worksheet comments page, however line item comments may not exceed 1000 characters. After entering the comments, choose the style of comment on the right.  You may choose line-item comments shown above OR below the item itself.  Next, click OK . . .

. . . and you will be returned to the worksheet and the comment will be next to the item description.

Remember, worksheet and line-item comments will not instruct TESSCO to perform special instructions for your order.   For more information about adding special instructions, click here.
