Portable Emergency 48VDC Generator!
Alpha is currently expanding its generator family to include a portable 3.0kW DC generator. The AlphaGen compact, lightweight generator is designed specifically for powering cable television, telecommunications, and broadband applications that do not have integrated generators as a primary component of the power system.
The portable generator incorporates several technological advantages including: 36 or 48V selectable dual voltage output based on Permanent Magnet Generator (PMG) technology, 3000W of power, and oversized fuel tank for up to 20hrs of runtime at 25% load or 7.2hrs at 100% load.
Outdoor Battery Backup Solutions (UPS)
Outdoor UPS provides up to 8 hours of 48 Vdc standby power for wireless equipment in harsh outdoor applications.

Tripplite On-Line UPS Eliminates Transfer Time Failures
Dan Horner of Sioux City Falls Two Way Radio was finding that his weekly generator test for his 911 System was causing costly problems like lock-ups and call lights not functioning. This weekly test ended with a 
technician having to drive to the remote site and restarting the 911 system leaving it unavailable for a few minutes while equipment came on-line.
With a system as critical as 911, Dan found his existing UPS was not an acceptable solution, and was to blame for surges and poor switch-over times. These problems were causing catastrophic effects during the first minute of generator turn over. A solution was needed to address this issue before an actual power failure occurred in the middle of the night.
Dan turned to TESSCO and was able to speak with engineers about the TrippLite On-Line UPS. The UPS system was able to filter surges and dirty power during the critical first minute of generator switch-over. This allowed the generators to stabilize and power the equipment. The TrippLite UPS was so successful that the first time Dan conducted the generator test with the TrippLite installed, they experienced no problems or outages on their mission-critical 911 systems.
