Spectrum Analyzer Available for Rack Mounting
The Bird SignalHawk Series of spectrum analyzers has expanded to now include a dedicated rackmount version, which has been built using the same analysis engine of the other SignalHawk analyzers, but with no display or keypad. The SH-36S-RM includes Ethernet and USB connections for local or remote communication. Over an Ethernet network, you can remotely analyze the performance of your system and diagnose problems from any computer on your network—whether in the same room or halfway across the state.
From the comfort of your own office, you can:
- Remotely analyze the radio frequency spectrum.
- Measure intended and interfering signals.
- Set up parameters such as frequency and amplitude markers.
- Remotely display signal amplitude versus frequency, and save traces to your PC.
- Eliminate trips to difficult, remote locations.
- Manage multiple sites from one centralized location.
- Verify FCC compliance via built-in emissions masks.
The new SignalHawk is a world-class, full-function spectrum analyzer designed to meet the needs of users who are responsible for maintaining remote installations. The space-saving, efficient design has been packaged to fit into a standard two-rack unit slot, and has the sophisticated capability of a spectrum analyzer, but at a fraction of the price.

Field-Portable Test Set Detects Passive Intermodulation
The Summitek IMT series is a simple, compact and portable instrument for evaluating cellular RF infrastructure quality. The test set emulates a base station radio, providing two 20-watt output signals at fixed frequencies and measuring the reverse/reflected intermodulation (IM) signal level to determine whether the infrastructure under test is of high construction quality and will not degrade network performance. The product is designed to test all full-band devices.
The iQA series is designed for applications for which greater operator control is desired or required to better analyze and understand cellular base station RF infrastructure quality and performance. These systems provide an interactive operator interface via a touchscreen LCD display. As with the IMT series analyzers, the iQA analyzers perform an industry-standard, two-tone PIM measurement at 20 watts per carrier. The operator can select the frequency and power level of the test tones and measure reflected IM3, IM5, IM7and IM9 results.
The iHA companion 2-watt series passive intermodulation (PIM) analyzer complements Summitek’s 20-watt PIM test solutions. The iHA is a lightweight, low-power PIM analyzer that can be carried up the tower for component checks or connected at the bottom of the tower to check for poor performance interconnections.

Dual Impedance Digital Multimeters
What's the Point? With dual impedance meters, technicians can safely troubleshoot sensitive electronic or control circuits, as well as circuits that may contain ghost voltages, and can more reliably determine whether voltage is present on a circuit.
View the digital multimter application note (PDF) from Fluke, describing what dual impedance means to the troubleshooter and why it helps to have this functionality built in to your multimeter.

Agilent N9912A FieldFox RF Analyzer
Tackle Complex Networks in Less Time
With the proliferation of wireless communications, operating frequencies have soared from sub-GHz levels up to 5.8 GHz. As a result, service providers are required to build more base stations to cover the same size coverage area. This means you and your technicians need to deploy and maintain more cell sites than you previously did in the same amount of time. To do this efficiently, a multi-functional and reliable tool is required.
The Agilent FieldFox RF Analyzer is the tool to tackle today's increasingly complex networks in less time.
