STI-CO Brings 700MHz Technology To Covert Antennas for Public Safety
The popular STI-CO Concealed Antenna (the "Stinger") is now available in a 700 MHz Public Safety Band version. The small antenna size makes the units virtually undetectable. Easily mounted under the headliner, the Stinger is designed for both covert and overt public safety vehicles.
STI-CO Unbreakable Antennas
The amazing STI-CO Flexi-Whip Antenna features a whip with memory that may bend but will not break. You can tie it in a knot and it will return to its original shape. Eliminate the annoyance of replacing masts.
Flexi-Whips may be cut to cover VHF, UHF, or 800 MHz and anywhere from 136MHz to 1GHz. They are available in standard NMO Roof Mount, Trunk Lip Mount, or Magnet Mount.
MWV1365S High Power Wideband VHF Antenna from Maxrad – More Power, Same Low Price
New from Maxrad! The MWV1365S antenna (available in chrome or black) offers the same high quality that customers have come to expect from the MWV1360S, but now handles up to 160 watts of power, at the same low price as the older model. This antenna addresses equipment inter-operability challenges by providing superior bandwidth coverage of VHF frequencies without sacrificing performance. Its no tune design eliminates the need for multiple antennas to cover various VHF frequency bands, thus reducing installation costs and complexity. The rugged design withstands high vibration operating conditions and its compact size makes it ideal for vehicle installations where overhead clearance is limited.
Ensure Clearer Calls with
Cellular/PCS On-Glass Antenna
Using a consumer-friendly Antenna Specialists On-Glass Antenna from PCTEL, your customers will have clear communications and fewer dropped calls. These dual band cellular/PCS antennas have a smaller footprint for minimal visual obstruction and and flexible foot for secure adherence to curved glass surfaces.
Interoperability Antenna Allows for Communication on Three Bands with One Antenna
STI-CO’s new interoperable mobile antenna is designed to allow the use of VHF, UHF, and 800 MHz mobile radios without installing three antennas on your sedan, SUV, or van. This broadband antenna enables first responders using mobile interconnect transmission systems to communicate with different agencies seamlessly on three different bands. The interoperable mobile antenna mounts quickly and easily with a magnet mount, so there are no holes to drill.
Multi-band Antenna Covers All Popular Voice and Data Bands
Mobile Mark’s new OWM Series glass-mount antennas provide convenient one-model inventory for all voice and data bands, including trunking, Nextel, cellular, EU GSM, DCS, GPRS, and 1xRTT. Specifically, this multi-band antenna operates from 807-960 MHz as well as from 1710-1990 MHz. The antennas feature an attractive, compact profile with a 3-1/2-inch flexible external whip. They will outperform other antennas of similar size. The in-car counterpoise improves the vehicle’s ground plane and adds to the overall performance. The standard OWM3 model offers 3 dB peak gain; a high-performance 4 dB peak gain model (OWM4) is also available.
Discrete GPS Antennas Help you Track Assets
Discrete GPS antennas can assist you with your vehicle, fleet, or asset tracking needs while attracting little attention to themselves. Perfect for covert use, TESSCO’s full line of low-profile GPS antennas includes everything from the traditional hockey-puck version to antennas embedded in transparent film. The GPS antennas can be mounted anywhere from the vehicle roof, under the bumper, or on the vehicle’s glare strip.

4.9 GHz Goes Mobile with Antennas
When it Comes to 4.9GHz Mobile Antennas for Public Safety, TESSCO Has You Covered!
The 4.9 GHz band has been allocated to public safety for broadband technologies. Communications must be related to the protection of life, health or property. Some typical uses are Wireless LANS for incident scene management, mobile data, mobile data, and setup of temporary hotspots.
TESSCO has the 4.9GHz mobile communication antennas for your needs. From traditional antennas, to small, “thumb-sized” designs, TESSCO has you covered.
The new MLPV4900NGP from Maxrad offers 3 dBi performance without a ground plane. Mobile Mark offers a magnet mount public safety antenna, the ECOM6-4900, which makes installation easy, or when size is a concern, the MRM3-5500 antenna is only 1.35” tall, and covers 4.9-6.0GHz frequencies.
Optimize Essential Transmissions on the 4.9 GHz band
Complete your 4.9 GHz projects with mobile antennas. From low-profile to elevated feed versions, TESSCO’s got a wide selection of mobile antennas styles for 4.9 GHz transmission for you to choose from.
Considerations in Deploying
a Mobile 4.9 GHz Solution
Radios and modems to support the new 4.9 GHz data band are being introduced and TESSCO has the antenna solution to complete the project. The 4.9 GHz band, available to public safety and authorized critical infrastructure, presents several challenges for mobile environments.
First is loss. At the higher frequencies traditional Motorola style mounts struggle to maintain necessary match tolerances and loss characteristics. To minimize loss, dual shield, solid center RG58/U should be used as the minimum standard. To optimize the match, Motorola mounts need to be rated for high frequencies or a direct radiating element-to-coax transition needs to be utilized.
Second is line-of-sight. The small wavelength of 4.9 GHz means that every effort should be made to keep obstructions out of the transmission path. This is extremely important in the near field. Antennas should be mounted with at least 5 to 7.5 inches of separation (2 – 3 wavelengths) with every attempt made to avoid large objects in the transmission path (light bars on the roof, vehicle cab due to mounting on the trunk).
