Kyocera is the leading supplier of solar-powered flashing beacon systems and equipment for traffic safety applications. Our traffic signal systems range from school zone flashers and speed awareness displays to 24-hour flashers and changeable message displays.

Kyocera can provide a standard "off the shelf" system or a custom designed package to meet your application. High-efficiency LED beacons allow KSI to minimize solar system size and cost while maximizing system performance and lifetime. KSI's systems are designed conservatively to ensure years of trouble-free service. Solar Powered Obstruction Lighting

This new off-the-shelf solar power system is a complete packaged solar power lighting system including the Obstruction Light.

This solar powered obstruction lighting system uses an FAA type L-810 single red LED obstruction light. Power to the light is supplied by a 12 VDC solar power system consisting of a 130 Wp solar module, two 99 Ah sealed maintenance-free batteries, and a temperature-compensated charge controller with day/night detection. The entire system is designed for quick installation and can be mounted to a 2" SCH40 pole (2.375" O.D.).

An LED light is used for low power consumption. Day/night detection of the obstruction light is controlled by the solar charge regulator which uses the solar array to sense day/night conditions. The solar regulator also prevents the battery from being overcharged or deep discharged. An integral temperature sensor automatically adjusts the battery charge voltage to compensate for temperature fluctuations for extended battery life.
