LMR Master S412E From Anritsu
The LMR Master S412E is the only battery-powered, portable spectrum analyzer for P25 BER coverage mapping, plus all the familiar Site Master measurements of spectrum analysis, antenna match, cable fault, interference analysis and transmission loss.
The LMR Master Spectrum Analyzer is a single instrument that combines all of the tools required to install, maintain, and certify Land Mobile Radio systems.
In a single, lightweight, handheld, battery-operated package, the LMR Master combines the functionality of a cable and antenna analyzer, spectrum analyzer, interference analyzer, power meter, channel scanner, transmitter analyzer (P25 and iDEN), P25 BER coverage mapping, and transmission analyzer for 2-port devices (built-in RF source).

Effectively Testing 700 MHz Public Safety LTE Broadband and P25 Narrowband Networks
In times of great emergency (such as September 11th attacks, Hurricane Katrina, or the 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico) access to reliable, integrated communications and tactical information is absolutely critical. Unfortunately the ability to mount a coordinated inter-agency response to major threats is often hampered by the proliferation of divergent signaling standards and non-aligned spectrum planning. APCO Project 25 (commonly called “P25”) digital radio systems are typically used as a solution to the voice communications aspect of this problem. However while P25 systems might effectively support mission-critical voice and low-bandwidth data applications, they fail to provide the high-speed data performance necessary to support the multimedia applications on which today’s public safety agencies are increasingly relying. During the 2007 collapse of the I-35W bridge in Minneapolis, Minnesota the availability of a municipal Wi-Fi network covering the impacted area proved to be an invaluable tool for the emergency response. The 3GPP 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) standard offers a solution to the need for wide-area broadband public safety networks, serving as the preferred broadband technology of choice for the 700 MHz public safety radio band. Now, an LTE-based network can be overlaid on the P25 Land Mobile Radio (LMR) network to deliver both the speed and low latency required to provide public safety agencies with the advanced multimedia capabilities they demand.
Using LTE for the 700 MHz broadband public-safety network provides public safety agencies with a number of key benefits...

The Latest Generation of Mini-OTDRs
Optical-fiber technologies are playing increasingly important roles in mobile communications. Technicians constructing and maintaining these diverse systems are forced to carry a large variety of test equipment on-site, including OTDRs, Light Sources, Optical Power Meters, Visible Light Sources, etc., as well as a notebook computer for evaluating QoS. Multimode and singlemode fiber are both being deployed with remote radiohead (RRH) in 4G deployments.
In addition, core and backbone networks utilize long fibers while RRH deployments use short fibers, both requiring different types of measuring instruments with different performance. But now Anritsu's new line of MT9083ACCESS Master OTDRs solves all these problems by providing all the measurement functions and performance required for optical fiber construction and maintenance in a compact, lightweight, all-in-one unit that eliminates the burden of carrying many different test sets and instruments on-site. Whatever your work, construction or maintenance, long haul or short haul, Anritsu has an MT9083 model for your needs.
