Because BATS combines the benefits of a point-to-point system with mobility, it focuses a radio signal into a narrow beam, so the connection can be maintained over longer distances and is less vulnerable to interference. Stationary systems or moving vehicles can obtain real-time access to data, Voice-over-IP (VoIP), and streaming video—for a wide variety of applications.

The BTS-2500 System consists of a rack mount control unit, BTS 2500 positioning unit, 50' cable and mounting hardware, and is ideal for mobile WiMAX or wireless broadband applications. Users on land, water and air can access critical broadband communications resources. BATS directional antenna technology aims, finds and locks in on an access point (AP) in seconds, then uses predictive tracking to maximize bandwidth and minimize movement of the antennas.

The BTS-2500 supports and enhances any wireless communications system or vendor equipment. It is designed for intelligent positioning and control of payloads up to 25.0 lbs (11kg), and ruggedized for the harshest of environments.

The main portable system offers compact size and multiple mounting options. The system withstands high duty-cycles and offers long life in demanding environments for fixed, fixed-to-mobile and mobile-to-mobile broadband communication applications. It can be managed remotely.
