Delay Timers

Delay Timers are perfect for users of mobile communication equipment because they allow for the use of the radio, computer, etc with the power from your vehicle's battery. Lind's line of delay timers protects the vehicle's battery from over discharge and electronic equipment from low voltage and high voltage damage. The device also will turn off electrical loads to devices at a user selectable time after the vehicle's ignition has been turned off. Both 12v and 24v input products are available.

The timer protects your vehicle’s battery against over discharge by shutting down up to 30-amp loads at a preset time after your vehicle engine is turned off. The adjustable shut down delay time ranges from 5 seconds to 4 hours.

The Low Profile Shut Down Timer can save costs by protecting radio and computer equipment against extreme voltage fluctuations occurring at the vehicle’s power source. For emergency situations, Lind’s override switch provides an extended 12 minutes of operation after time out or engine start failure.

The Low Profile Shut Down Timer’s test switch makes it easy to test the system’s timing function. Simply press the test switch to reduce the delay period by a factor of 100 (for example, from a 2-hour wait time to 2 minutes). Labels identify the timer’s LED indicator on, off, and timing status. The timer works in temperatures ranging from minus 50 to 75 degrees Celsius.

Power Adapters for the Panasonic Toughbook

The Lind PA1650-1253 allows users of Panasonic Toughbook computers the ultimate in flexibility when it comes to in-vehicle power. This adapter accepts a wide input voltage range (12-32VDC) and protects your computer with a 15 amp fuse. The unit comes with a bare wire input cable that allows for permanent installation, as well as a cigarette lighter adapter in case your computer will be used in multiple vehicles, or a permanent installation is not possible. The unit works with a wide range of Toughbook computers.

For those who do not need as much input power flexibility, the Lind PA1555-968 DC power adapter for Panasonic Toughbook notebook computers can be hardwired into a vehicle to provide power to the computer by tapping into the vehicle's electrical system. Optional attachments allow this adapter to work with vehicle cigarette lighter power sockets or airline power sockets.
