GPS Antennas for Commercial Fleet Management
Commercial fleet management and vehicle telemetric systems typically require multiple wireless connections. Mobile Mark offers a wide range of GPS and multi-band solutions.
For GPS-only applications, the SM-1575 surface mount antenna provides an attractive and practical solution. The low-profile antenna is housed in a sturdy radome. The MAG-1575 mag-mount antenna is compact and provides an easily portable solution for temporary setups.
The CVS series tri-band antenna combines GPS with the 850/1900 MHz bands. This covert antenna can be mounted almost anywhere—inside a window, behind a rear-view mirror, or under the dashboard.
The SMW series surface mount antenna provides separate RF cable feeds for up to four different channels. Combinations include GPS, Voice/Data 850/1900 MHz, Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, and Public Safety 4.9 GHz.
Mobile Antennas for 4.9 GHz Public Safety
Mobile Mark's 4.9 GHz public safety mobile antennas are rugged, compact and attractive. Several models are available, allowing for either single or combination applications.
Body-Mount Antennas
The RM3-4900 body-mount antenna offers 3 dBi gain in a rugged, 3-inch tall radome. The DM2-4900 dome body-mount antenna provides similar gain in a shorter rounder radome. The DM series can also be combined with GPS. Both models are also available as mag mounts.
Surface-Mount Antenna
The multiband SMW series antennas combine two, three or four different antennas within the same radome. Typical applications include a 2-cable antenna covering GPS & 4.9 GHz, a 3-cable antenna covering GPS, Wi-Fi & Cellular M2M, or a 4-cable antenna covering GPS, Wi-Fi, Cellular M2M & Public Safety 4.9 GHz. Other combinations are possible. SMW series antennas are also available as MGW mag-mount antennas.
Multiband Antennas Combine GPS With Cellular, Wi-Fi, Public Safety or Orbcomm
As wireless applications multiply, many users are finding it difficult to juggle the number of per-vehicle installations. Mobile Mark offers a solution with its three-feed and four-feed multiband antennas for mobile applications.
Mobile Mark's SMW multiband surface-mount GPS antennas are noted for providing simultaneous operations on a variety of bands within the same antenna. Typical configurations for SMW antennas include voice/data 850/1900 MHz bands and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz band along with GPS.
Another combination, the surface-mount GPS Wi-Fi wideband antenna, includes an extra cable for public safety 4.9 GHz, Wi-Fi 5 GHz/802.11a, or a second data feed for diversity. Typical uses include AVL/tracking with data download at the dock door, or transit surveillance applications.
The SMW series antennas can now be configured as a mag-mount GPS antenna using the MGW series model numbers.
GPS Single-Band Antennas
Mobile Mark offers high-quality GPS single-band antennas for applications where there is a preference to have the GPS antenna mounted separately from the data radio antenna. Three mount options are available: surface-mount, glass on-window mount and mag-mount antennas. All are compact in size and housed in a sturdy radome.
The low-profile surface-mount antenna measures 2.5" in diameter x .75" high, and mounts with a 5/8" diameter threaded stud. The glass on-window mount antenna is angled for improved coverage and mounts with double-sided tape. The mag-mount antenna mounts easily to roof or trunk of vehicle. All antennas are available with a choice of connectors including new FAKRA series.
The GPS performance is 27 dB with 5 dBi antenna gain. All GPS antennas feature low noise, 1.7 dB typical, with excellent filter characteristics.
Cellular Machine-to-Machine Communication Antennas
Cellular machine-to-machine (M2M) applications depend on a consistent stream of data. Antennas for these 850/1900 MHz networks need to be rugged, reliable and easy to install. These dual-band antennas from Mobile Mark are capable of operating on all US data systems including GSM, CDMA, GPRS, EDGE, EV-DO, UMTS and HSPDA.
Mobile Mark's RM3-900/1900 dual-band stud-mount cellular/ PCS/ GPRS antenna is a high-efficiency antenna which outperforms similar surface-mount antennas. Designed for heavy-duty applications, the antenna is housed in a 3-inch tall rugged, tamper-proof ABS plastic radome. A magnet-mount version is also available.
M2M antennas can be used for mobile applications such as transportable monitoring systems or other vehicles. They can also be used for fixed remote monitoring applications such as ATM machines, vending machines, and meter reading.

Tri-band Covert Strip Antenna
Mobile Mark’s new CVS tri-band antenna covers GPS, as well as difference voice/data combinations from 800-1900 MHz. These slim-profile tri-band covert antennas measure only 4 ¾”L x 1 ½”W x 5/8” thick and mount with double-sided tape. They can be discreetly mounted to a vehicle or to other items that are being tracked. Popular locations include inside a car window behind the rear view mirror, or under the rear deck or dashboard.
Surface-Mount GPS Antenna
These antennas are tough all-around performers. The surface-mount dual- and single-band antennas are very low profile, perfect for any vehicle, cargo trailers, and more. Models include a single-band GPS-only version, as well as several dual-band 900 MHz & GPS antennas. The dual-band versions allow multiband operation for a variety of AVL applications. Models are available for cellular, CDPD, and other private networks. Separate cabling is provided for the GPS and 900 MHz interface. For the dual-band model, cellular performance is provided by a low-profile, yet high-efficiency air dielectric radiating element. This maintains effective radiation across the desired frequency range, with omnidirectional coverage. Unity gain performance is maintained. The antennas are enclosed in a weatherproof polycarbonate radome, and supplied with all hardware and sealing gasket. The single-band radome is 2.5" in diameter (64 mm), the dual-band is 4.5" diameter (114 mm).
OD Series Omni Antenna
The OD series antennas are optimized for use in a wide variety of wireless systems. Typical uses include WLAN access points or bridge (802.11b/g), and surveillance transmitters. These antennas are collinear arrays. Unique phasing cancels out-of-phase current distribution, improving performance. The OD series are free-space antennas; no ground plane is required. Unique options for the OD series are add-on reflector kits that beam shapes the omni pattern. Reflector options are available to provide cardioid shape in 90-degree, 120-degree & 180-degree patterns. These can result in improved directional gain, and isolation for reduced interference. The black fiberglass radome (1" diameter/25 mm) makes the antennas durable and rugged. They can withstand the harshest environments of snow, wind, rain and ice. The feed assembly is made of precision machined aluminum components and is irradiated for weather protection.
