Motorola Powerline MU Products

The Motorola Powerline system utilizes three key components:

Powerline MU Modem

This CPE device is used to connect to the powerline network and includes bandwidth control and Quality of Service (QoS). It can be remotely monitored, configured, and updated. An auto power-off feature prevents idle units from generating network traffic.

Powerline MU Gateway

The head end controller for the Powerline network connects powerline to the internet. The full-featured powerline router offers a three phase interface, 4 Ethernet LAN and 1 Ethernet WAN interfaces. It also provides VLAN support, remote management of modems, remote monitoring, and software download/ configuration control.

Powerline MU Panel Extender

The Powerline MU panel extender connects three phases from three breaks of one panel extender. It's useful in mass-metered buildings such as hotels and corporate facilities which have large distribution panels that distribute electricity to other smaller breaker panels. The MU Panel Extender provides efficiency in signal distribution while mitigating signal loss.
