Antenna Path Alignment from SpectracomFor twenty-two years, Pendulum Instruments established itself as a leader in the designing and manufacturing of specialized microwave systems, offering a powerful range of solutions for telecommunications. The company will now do business under the name of Spectracom, and will continue to carry the Pendulum brand label.

Pendulum Instruments Cost-Effective Path Align-R Test Solution
Learn MoreSimplifying Path Alignment of Microwave SystemsWherever a microwave link exists, accurate antenna alignment is required to insure proper communications. This process requires tower crews to physically align the antennas using sophisticated test equipment to monitor the results.
The process is simplified with the use of the Path Align-R Test Set from Pendulum. Tower installation crews can now perform the entire alignment process before the radios and waveguide are even installed. Two identical battery operated Path Align-Rs, one for each tower, are carried to the antenna sites. By coax connection to the antenna, each Path Align-R drives its respective antenna directly...while receiving the signal from the other Path Align-R, simultaneously. During alignment, the Path Align-R provides continuous duplex voice communication over the antenna link, using the included headset, allowing the two technicians to communicate with each other. Both units indicate the received path loss, in dB, with 0.1 dB resolution (to -100 dB sensitivity). Each antenna's azimuth and elevation is physically adjusted, while noting the path loss reading, until minimum loss (maximum alignment) has been reached. For more information contact TESSCO |
