Ready For 700 MHz!

Wireless broadband is becoming widespread across the U.S. and abroad. Whether in metro, suburban, or rural markets, individuals and businesses alike are embracing an ‘any media, any speed, anywhere’ mode of operation for a variety of mobile, high-speed voice, data, and video uses and applications. To facilitate a ubiquitous, high-speed mobile broadband environment, new air interfaces such as Long-Term Evolution (LTE) are being deployed in new frequency bands such as 700 MHz. At the same time, a whole new infrastructure of radios, cable and antennas are needed to support this new wave of mobile broadband services. Such services include high-speed Internet access and Internet Protocol (IP)-based services in homes and businesses, on campuses, and inside big buildings and large structures.

TerraWave Solutions introduces a new line of high-performance indoor and outdoor antennas for a wide variety of wireless broadband applications, including 700 MHz applications. These antennas are designed to deliver improved signal strengths and to enhance end-user experiences in a variety of applications and configurations. More importantly, these multiband antennas can operate in existing cellular or 2.4 GHz mobile broadband networks, and can be reused in place, or easily relocated as operators move to new 700 MHz operation. In addition, these state-of-the-art antennas can serve as an integral element in distributed antenna systems (DAS) implemented for extending cellular coverage and for specialized wireless broadband reach needed inside sports venues or across college or office campuses.

Outdoor Antennas

TerraWave offers three antennas designed for outdoor wireless broadband networks operating in the 700 MHz, cellular, or 2.4 GHz frequency ranges; these include:

• The 698-896/1700-2500 MHz 7/10 dBi low-profile patch subscriber unit with an N-style jack connector and easy-to-install articulating wall/mast mount.
• The 698-800/800-960/1700-2500 MHz 7.5/8.5/10 dBi directional yagi antenna with an N-style jack connector and an easy-to-install articulating mast mount.
• The 690-896/1700-2500 MHz 3/3.5 dBi omnidirectional antenna with an N-style jack connector and a rugged wall/mast mount.

• Dual-Band Ceiling Omni Antenna

  The 690-960/1700-2500 MHz 3/3.5 dBi omnidirectional antenna which is ideal for any indoor voice and data wireless system, and includes an N-style jack connector, and a convenient ceiling mount that allows for easy placement options utilizing a single, 3/4-inch mounting hole in the ceiling.

Aesthetically Pleasing Ceiling Tile Enclosures Protect Access Points

TerraWave Solutions introduces two new ceiling tile enclosures to contain and protect an access point (AP) in an aesthetically pleasing and stealthy solution.

TerraWave's TW-CTEN-P universal polycarbonate ceiling tile enclosure fits in ceiling tile grids measuring either 1 x 2 feet or 2 x 2 feet (by using the included insert). Constructed of ABS plastic comprised of UL 94 VO-rated raw materials, the enclosure is designed to meet NEC300-22 and 300-23 standards for installation in plenum/air-handling areas. It includes two door inserts, two cord grips, quarter-turn lock, and hardware for securing enclosure to permanent ceiling structures. It features flexible mounting plate heights, can accommodate many manufacturers’ enterprise-class APs, and is the most flexible ceiling tile enclosure offered by TerraWave.

TerraWave's TW-CTEN-2 x 2-1142A ceiling tile enclosure contains and protects the Cisco 1142 AP in an extremely lightweight and easy-to-deploy solution within a standard ceiling tile measuring 2 x 2 feet. The enclosure is constructed of powder-coated aluminum and is designed to meet NEC300-22 and 300-23 for installation in plenum/air-handling areas. It includes holes for securing the enclosure to the ceiling system, cord grip, CAT 60 key lock for added security, and weighs only 3-1/2 pounds (5-1/2 pounds with the AP installed). Installation requires no tools, making this the easiest TerraWave enclosure to deploy, and it does not require removal of the enclosure from the ceiling tile grid to service the AP.

MSHA-Approved Bulk Cable for Mining Applications

The wired world above ground is much different than the wired world below ground. Many industries, including mining, have stringent standards on the products that can be used for applications in potentially hazardous environments. The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) tests and approves all equipment deployed in underground mining applications.

TerraWave Solutions has expanded its fire-retardant coaxial cable line to include MSHA-approved coaxial cable specifically designed for underground mining telecommunications and data applications. This non-halogenated, low-smoke, fire-retardant cable is designed for mining applications where dangerous sparks must be controlled.

TerraWave’s fire-retardant and MSHA-approved cable can be used in almost any application where handling characteristics, improved shielding, and low loss is required. Additionally, TerraWave’s MSHA-approved cable is deployed using standard connectors, preventing the need for specialty connectors or tools required for installation.

802.11n MIMO and 802.11 a/b/g Diversity Outdoor Omni Antennas

TerraWave introduces a new, comprehensive line of ruggedized 802.11n multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) and 802.11 a/b/g diversity outdoor omnidirectional antennas. The antennas' durable outer enclosure makes them perfectly suited for use in warehouse or manufacturing environments where they must withstand exposure to moisture, dust and severe hot or cold temperatures. The new line is specifically designed to support all major manufacturer’s enterprise-class 802.11n MIMO or 802.11 a/b/g access points (APs).

Both antenna designs are available with RPTNC or RPSMA Plug connector options, an L-Bracket for mast mounting and a convenient beam clamp for a variety of mounting options.

Flex-Line Steel Enclosures

TerraWave introduces a line of 14"x12"x6" and 12"x10"x6" steel enclosures. Solid door enclosures are specifically designed to provide NEMA 4 outside protection and window models provide NEMA 12 inside protection. Each enclosure protects wireless equipment from damage caused by tampering or environmental elements.
These versatile, rugged enclosures are constructed from 14-gauge steel and include eight knockouts for antenna ports and one for a strain relief. Each knockout is only visible from the inside of the enclosure to enhance the outside aesthetic design. TerraWave is the only manufacturer in the industry to offer such cutting-edge solutions with robust and flexible application options.
