ETA & FOA Certification |
TESSCO offers fiber optic certifications from both the Electronic Technicians Association (ETA) and The Fiber Optic Association (FOA). The Electronic Technicians Association is a worldwide nonprofit organization that provides training, certification and support for electronics technicians. The certifications programs are accredited by the International Certification Accreditation Council (ICAC) and helps technicians advance and validate their knowledge. Founded in 1978, the ETA has certified over 100,000 technicians and touts a network of over 700 Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
The Fiber Optic Association has been organized as an international nonprofit professional society for the fiber optic industry. Its charter is to develop educational programs, certify fiber optic technicians, approve fiber optic training courses, participate in standards-making processes and generally promote fiber optics. The FOA has certified over 22,000 CFOTs (Certified Fiber Optic Technicians) through over 180 approved training organizations worldwide.

OSHA Accepted Programs |
TESSCO employs qualified OSHA outreach instructors and maintains strong industry partnerships with other OSHA organizations. This enables the delivery of multiple classes recommended by OSHA, but it is important to understand that this is not a certification program. It is a series of courses that meet OSHA requirements for training to ensure the safety and well being of your employees.
