The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) Foundation recently announced the first group of wireless pioneers to earn entry into their Wireless Hall of Fame. The inductees will be honored at the inaugural Mobile Infrastructure Hall of Fame Ceremony on November 14.
The Foundation’s first group of inductees includes:
Neville R. Ray, Executive Vice President and CTO of T-Mobile
Steven E. Bernstein, Founder and Former CEO of SBA Communications
Steven B. Dodge, Founder and Former CEO of American Tower
John P. Kelly, Former CEO of Crown Castle
Jose R. Mas, CEO of MasTec.
The honorees were chosen for their groundbreaking work in the evolution and advancement of wireless technology. Each will be inducted by another honored representative from the industry or policymaker. FCC Chairman Ajit Pai will deliver opening remarks at the event.
“This event is about paying tribute to the pioneers of the industry and paying it forward with proceeds going to the WIA Foundation’s initiatives to train the wireless workforce that will carry our industry into the future,” WIA President and CEO Jonathan Adelstein said in a release.
