Verizon recently announced the expansion of its 5G Business Internet fixed wireless access (FWA) offering to 18 additional cities, including Memphis, TN, Seattle, WA, and Ann Arbor, MI. With this growth, the service is now available in a total of 42 cities across the U.S.
According to Verizon, “5G Business Internet provides businesses with an alternative to cable Internet, a primary connectivity backbone to run their entire business, and a platform to help take advantage of burgeoning technology.” Powered by 5G Ultra Wideband, this service uses millimeter wave bands, which Verizon only offers to certain markets throughout the U.S., to deliver super-fast speeds over relatively short distances.
This service comes with professional installation, delivering a fast and easy deployment with no digging required. Plus, Verizon is also offering a credit of up to $1,500 to customers for early termination fees they may face when switching over from another service provider.
“5G Business Internet customers get more than just a new kind of superfast Internet connectivity for today — they also get a 5G digital-transformation platform for tomorrow,” said Sampath Sowmyanarayan, Chief Revenue Officer of Verizon Business. “Professional installation from Verizon means easy setup and quick application deployments from the start, and, as 5G technology evolves, customers will also have a scalable framework for leveraging technologies like edge computing and IoT.”
