The Moxa NPort 5210 device server is designed to instantly connect RS-232 serial devices to IP networks. Server has a three-step configuration process, surge protection, and has two RS-232 (8-Pin RJ45) connectors, and one RJ45 port. NPort 5210 has an operating temperature of 0 – 60 deg. C. Input voltage is 12 – 48 VDC.
The NPort 5000 Series Serial Device Servers offer quick to deploy serial to IP connectivity. Devices consume only 1 W of power, while offering surge protection on serial, Ethernet, and power connections. NPort 5000 family of devices allow for COM port grouping, and TCP or UDP operation modes.
Serial devices can be found in POS, process automation, monitoring and control systems, as well as factory automation; among others. The ability to quickly communicate with all devices from an IP network may be critical for operation. Device servers coordinate the flow of traffic from multiple serial devices across an IP network.
