The AWK-1131A is a hardened wireless networking device that supports 802.11n transmission rates up to 300 Mbps, while including extremely rugged features that are not typically seen in standard wireless products.
The built-in galvanic isolation on the AWK-1131A is able to break ground loops and protect the unit from voltage or other electrical surges up to 500V. Level 4 isolation on the power inputs and antenna ports provide the unit with improved electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. Remarkably, this has been achieved within a form factor that is one of the smallest in the industry.
With special built-in software features, the AWK-1131A is adaptable to a wide range of industrial applications. Turbo Roaming provides seamless connectivity as the AWK-1131A roams between Access Points, ideal for an automatic guided vehicle (AGV) navigating through a warehouse. MAC clone technology enables wireless access to PLCs by MAC address through the AWK-1131A, eliminating a common issue with Ethernet-based SCADA deployments.
The AWK-1131A can operate on either the 2.4 or 5 GHz bands and is backwards-compatible with existing 802.11a/b/g deployments to future-proof wireless investments. MIMO (multiple-input, multiple-output) technology increases data throughput and link range without additional bandwidth or increased transmit power.
