Sandip Mukerjee

President and Chief Executive Officer

Sandip Mukerjee joined Tessco in August 2019 as the President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. He has nearly 30 years of global experience in the wireless and telecom industry in a variety of executive roles including business and strategy development, marketing and general management. Prior to joining Tessco, he spent three years as the President of the Global Professional and Consulting Services business for Nokia Software. From 2006-2016 he worked at Alcatel Lucent, starting as the SVP of marketing and business development and culminating in his role as President and General Manager of IP Platforms for the Americas. Mr. Mukerjee began his career at AT&T/Lucent Bell Labs, where from 1991 to 2006, he held a variety of technical, product management and global strategy positions. He earned advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering, holds several patents and has a passion for innovative, enduring customer relationships.

Joseph M. Cawley, Jr.

Joseph Cawley joined Tessco in June 2017. As the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Mr. Cawley is responsible for setting the technology direction for applications, infrastructure, networks, and data centers that provide support for Tessco product offerings. His top priorities are to stimulate innovation and to bring those innovations into the marketplace quickly; to apply these innovations to help the Tessco businesses grow; and to identify and nurture new and future areas for investment and growth. Previously, Mr. Cawley was the Vice President of IT for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation where he led the digital transformation of web, mobile, and cloud. He has held a number of executive positions across IBM, including the Storage Software business where he led the introduction of IBM’s iSCSI network attached storage platform. He has also held positions leading worldwide technical support for IBM’s Networking Division and the development of the WebSphere enterprise workgroup portfolio. Mr. Cawley holds a BS in Computer Science from Old Dominion University and an MS in Computer Science from Binghamton University.

Charles Kriete

Charles Kriete joined the company in 2017. Mr. Kriete is Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales, Product Marketing and Supply Chain leading vendor partnerships and developing new go-to-market product and service solutions. Prior to joining Tessco, Mr. Kriete served as Chief Marketing Officer of Kore Wireless Group, upon their acquisition of Wyless Group, where Kriete served as Chief Revenue Officer. Previously, Mr. Kriete founded a mobile technology supply chain company, OTBT, which was ultimately acquired by Tech Data Corporation. Mr. Kriete also held various positions at CDW Corporation, after completing his studies in Physics at Lake Forest College in Illinois.

Douglas A. Rein

Douglas Rein joined the company in 1999. Mr. Rein is Senior Vice President of the Performance Systems and Operations groups. Previously, he was the Director of Operations for Compaq Computer Corporation and was responsible for fulfillment operations for the commercial and consumer personal computer product lines. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Distribution and Logistics Operations for Intelligent Electronics. Mr. Rein obtained both a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from Virginia Tech.

Elizabeth S. Robinson

Liz Robinson joined the company in 1998. Ms. Robinson is Senior Vice President of Retail Sales and Product Marketing leading the vendor partnerships, go-to-market strategies and services for the Retail market. Previously, she held several leadership positions in Sales, Business Development and Product Management at Tessco. Prior to joining Tessco, Ms. Robinson served in leadership positions at AT&T Capital Corporation, both in sales management and affinity program development. Ms. Robinson was educated at Washington and Lee University.

Mary Beth Smith

Mary Beth Smith joined the company in 1992. Ms. Smith is the Vice President, General Manager leading the Ventev brand and business unit. Previously, she held several leadership positions in Sales and Product Management at Tessco. Mary Beth obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Towson University in Baltimore.

Aric Spitulnik

Aric Spitulnik joined the company in 2000. Mr. Spitulnik is Chief Financial Officer and also serves as the company’s corporate secretary and principal financial and accounting officer. From 2005 to 2013, he served as the Company’s corporate controller. Prior to joining Tessco, Mr. Spitulnik spent 6 years in public accounting. Mr. Spitulnik received a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Robert B. Barnhill, Jr.

Chairman of the Board

Robert B. Barnhill, Jr. founded Tessco Technologies Incorporated in 1982 as Your Total Source® products for 2-way radio dealers and carriers, and evolved to serving all wireless users, operators, builders, infrastructure providers and resellers with total end-to-end wireless solutions to deploy networks and connectivity systems. In September 2016, Mr. Barnhill transitioned into his current role as Chairman of the Board.

Jay G. Baitler

Jay G. Baitler has been a director of the company since 2007. He is an operating partner with Atlas Holdings, a private equity firm. Mr. Baitler also serves on the boards of Soundview Paper, Finch Paper and Twin River Paper. Prior to his retirement in 2012, Mr. Baitler was Executive Vice President of Staples and was responsible for the Contract Division, including the 2008 acquisition and integration of Corporate Express.


John D. Beletic

John D. Beletic has served as a director of the company since July 1999 and Lead Director since August 2008. Since July 2002, Mr. Beletic has been a venture partner or operating partner with Oak Investment Partners, a venture capital firm. Mr. Beletic is also a director of Cheddars Inc., a 140+ unit restaurant company; Shareablee, a social data analytics company; and J5 Infrastructure mobile carriers. Mr. Beletic served as Chairman or Vice Chairman of Xiotech Inc. (X-IO Technologies), a provider of enterprise level disk storage systems from November 2011 to November 2016 and was President and Chief Executive Officer from November 2011 to May 2014. He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of iPass, an internet access company, from 2008 to 2015. Earlier in his career, Mr. Beletic served as CEO of telecommunications companies Tigon Corporation, PageMart Wireless, and Weblink Wireless.


Paul Gaffney

Paul Gaffney has been a director of the company since June 7, 2018. He is the Executive Vice President - Chief Technology Officer of DICK’S Sporting Goods. In this role, he is responsible for the Company’s technology, supporting the overall infrastructure, eCommerce platforms, and new and evolving digital platforms. Prior to joining DICK’S, Paul served as the Senior Vice President of Technology at The Home Depot, Inc., responsible for the organization’s software engineering, user-centered design, and applications. Throughout his career, Paul held a variety of senior leadership roles, most notably serving as President and Chief Executive Officer with AAA Northern California. He has also served in a number of executive leadership positions at Desktone, Office Depot, Staples and Charles Schwab.


Benn R. Konsynski

Benn R. Konsynski, Ph.D. has been a director of the company since November 1993. He is the George S. Craft Distinguished University Professor of Information Systems and Operations Management at the Goizueta Business School of Emory University. He was director and founder of Emory’s Center for Digital Commerce, one of the first of its kind in the country. He was named Hewlett Fellow at the Carter Center in 1995. Prior to arriving at the Goizueta Business School, he was on the faculty at the Harvard Business School, where he taught in the MBA program and several executive programs. Dr. Konsynski specializes in issues of digital commerce and information technology in relationships across organizations.


Dennis J. Shaughnessy

Dennis J. Shaughnessy has been a director of the company since 1989. He served as Executive Chairman of the Board of FTI Consulting Inc. FTI is a leading global consulting firm with $1.8 billion in revenues and operations in 24 countries. It is traded on the New York Stock Exchange with a market cap of approximately $1.6 billion. Mr. Shaughnessy retired as Chairman of FTI effective December 17, 2013. Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Shaughnessy served as General Partner of Grotech Capital Group, a private equity firm, leading its traditional industry group, managing $1.0 billion in private equity. Prior to joining Grotech, Mr. Shaughnessy had been President and CEO of CRI International, an international petroleum refining service business, which was sold to Shell Oil in 1989.


Morton F. Zifferer, Jr.

Morton F. Zifferer, Jr. has been a director of the company since November 1993. He has served as Chairman and CEO of New Standard Corporation, a privately held metal products manufacturing firm, since 1983. Mr. Zifferer and New Standard Corporation have partnered with several Fortune 500 execute lean manufacturing techniques and sophisticated supply chain strategies and practices.


Jerome C. Eppler

The late Jerome Eppler spent his entire career in the securities industry, forming his own firm, Eppler & Company in 1961. From 1953 to 1961, he was a general partner of Cyrus J. Lawrence Sons, New York – a member of the New York Stock Exchange. Also, from 1967 to 1978, Mr. Eppler served as chairman and chief executive of Insurance Securities, Inc. Tessco Technologies appreciates Mr. Eppler’s contributions and leadership during his tenure on the Board of Directors.
