Robert B. Barnhill, Jr.
Chairman of the Board
Robert B. Barnhill, Jr. founded Tessco Technologies Incorporated in 1982 as Your Total Source® products for 2-way radio dealers and carriers, and evolved to serving all wireless users, operators, builders, infrastructure providers and resellers with total end-to-end wireless solutions to deploy networks and connectivity systems. In September 2016, Mr. Barnhill transitioned into his current role as Chairman of the Board.
President and Chief Executive Officer
Sandip Mukerjee joined Tessco in August 2019 as the President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. He has nearly 30 years of global experience in the wireless and telecom industry in a variety of executive roles including business and strategy development, marketing and general management. Prior to joining Tessco, he spent three years as the President of the Global Professional and Consulting Services business for Nokia Software. From 2006-2016 he worked at Alcatel Lucent, starting as the SVP of marketing and business development and culminating in his role as President and General Manager of IP Platforms for the Americas. Mr. Mukerjee began his career at AT&T/Lucent Bell Labs, where from 1991 to 2006, he held a variety of technical, product management and global strategy positions. He earned advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering, holds several patents and has a passion for innovative, enduring customer relationships.
Jay G. Baitler
Jay G. Baitler has been a director of the company since 2007. He is an operating partner with Atlas Holdings, a private equity firm. Mr. Baitler also serves on the boards of Soundview Paper, Finch Paper and Twin River Paper. Prior to his retirement in 2012, Mr. Baitler was Executive Vice President of Staples and was responsible for the Contract Division, including the 2008 acquisition and integration of Corporate Express.
John D. Beletic
John D. Beletic has served as a director of the company since July 1999 and Lead Director since August 2008. Since July 2002, Mr. Beletic has been a venture partner or operating partner with Oak Investment Partners, a venture capital firm. Mr. Beletic is also a director of Cheddars Inc., a 140+ unit restaurant company; Shareablee, a social data analytics company; and J5 Infrastructure mobile carriers. Mr. Beletic served as Chairman or Vice Chairman of Xiotech Inc. (X-IO Technologies), a provider of enterprise level disk storage systems from November 2011 to November 2016 and was President and Chief Executive Officer from November 2011 to May 2014. He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of iPass, an internet access company, from 2008 to 2015. Earlier in his career, Mr. Beletic served as CEO of telecommunications companies Tigon Corporation, PageMart Wireless, and Weblink Wireless.
Paul Gaffney has been a director of the company since June 7, 2018. He is the Executive Vice President - Chief Technology Officer of DICK’S Sporting Goods. In this role, he is responsible for the Company’s technology, supporting the overall infrastructure, eCommerce platforms, and new and evolving digital platforms. Prior to joining DICK’S, Paul served as the Senior Vice President of Technology at The Home Depot, Inc., responsible for the organization’s software engineering, user-centered design, and applications. Throughout his career, Paul held a variety of senior leadership roles, most notably serving as President and Chief Executive Officer with AAA Northern California. He has also served in a number of executive leadership positions at Desktone, Office Depot, Staples and Charles Schwab.
Benn R. Konsynski
Benn R. Konsynski, Ph.D. has been a director of the company since November 1993. He is the George S. Craft Distinguished University Professor of Information Systems and Operations Management at the Goizueta Business School of Emory University. He was director and founder of Emory’s Center for Digital Commerce, one of the first of its kind in the country. He was named Hewlett Fellow at the Carter Center in 1995. Prior to arriving at the Goizueta Business School, he was on the faculty at the Harvard Business School, where he taught in the MBA program and several executive programs. Dr. Konsynski specializes in issues of digital commerce and information technology in relationships across organizations.
Dennis J. Shaughnessy
Dennis J. Shaughnessy has been a director of the company since 1989. He served as Executive Chairman of the Board of FTI Consulting Inc. FTI is a leading global consulting firm with $1.8 billion in revenues and operations in 24 countries. It is traded on the New York Stock Exchange with a market cap of approximately $1.6 billion. Mr. Shaughnessy retired as Chairman of FTI effective December 17, 2013. Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Shaughnessy served as General Partner of Grotech Capital Group, a private equity firm, leading its traditional industry group, managing $1.0 billion in private equity. Prior to joining Grotech, Mr. Shaughnessy had been President and CEO of CRI International, an international petroleum refining service business, which was sold to Shell Oil in 1989.
Morton F. Zifferer, Jr.
Morton F. Zifferer, Jr. has been a director of the company since November 1993. He has served as Chairman and CEO of New Standard Corporation, a privately held metal products manufacturing firm, since 1983. Mr. Zifferer and New Standard Corporation have partnered with several Fortune 500 execute lean manufacturing techniques and sophisticated supply chain strategies and practices.
Jerome C. Eppler
The late Jerome Eppler spent his entire career in the securities industry, forming his own firm, Eppler & Company in 1961. From 1953 to 1961, he was a general partner of Cyrus J. Lawrence Sons, New York – a member of the New York Stock Exchange. Also, from 1967 to 1978, Mr. Eppler served as chairman and chief executive of Insurance Securities, Inc. Tessco Technologies appreciates Mr. Eppler’s contributions and leadership during his tenure on the Board of Directors.
