Tessco Technologies, LLC, a leading value-added distributor and solutions provider for wireless infrastructure, is excited to announce it has joined the Anterix Active Ecosystem, a program that includes over 125 technology innovators who are enabling utilities to achieve their grid modernization goals via 900 MHz private LTE networks.
Anterix is the largest holder of licensed 900 MHz spectrum (896-901/935-940 MHz) in the contiguous United States, plus Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. The ultimate goals of this collaboration are to accelerate the deployment of 900 MHz private LTE networks by utilities, empower utilities with the tools needed to modernize their infrastructure, enhance operational efficiency, and optimize grid performance.
Tessco’s extensive expertise in the utility sector, including industrial-grade routers and switches designed to support mission-critical communication networks, make it a valuable addition to the members of the Anterix Active Ecosystem. In addition, Tessco brings decades of experience delivering customized solutions, including advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), private networks, power solutions, fiber-to-the-antenna (FTTA), and distributed energy resources (DER).
Tessco also offers a comprehensive ecosystem of supply chain solutions and logistics planning models, ensuring utilities can streamline deployment, reduce costs, and improve project timelines. These services are designed to optimize procurement, material kitting, and inventory management, enabling utilities to focus on operational technology advancements while Tessco handles the complex logistics.
“We are proud to partner with Anterix in driving the digital transformation of utility networks,” said Steve Schiech, Vice President of Commercial Sales at Tessco Inc. “Our combined strengths in wireless infrastructure, industrial networking, and supply chain logistics position us to deliver comprehensive solutions that enhance the resilience, reliability, and sustainability of utility operations.”
“Anterix is proud to welcome Tessco to the Anterix Active Ecosystem,” said Stephen Ryan, Vice President, Ecosystem and Partnerships at Anterix. “Together, we are helping utilities to advance their strategic goals for grid modernization, resiliency, safety, and reliability.”
