Tessco Environmental Responsibilities

In ongoing efforts to foster strong environmental policies, Tessco is dedicated to green policies that ensure the health and safety of both our team members and the overall community. Tessco’s most recent environmental improvements focused on upgrades to our distribution centers and offices including:

Improved Recycling Measures:

• Increased recycling of plastic, paper, metal, electronics, and cardboard
• Recycling of all customer returned products
• Reduction in packing materials and increase in biodegradable packing materials, including air balloons and recycled paper
• Institution of a proprietary technology and mobile compaction service that reduces waste volume by as much as 70 percent

Efforts to Save on Energy:

• Installation of more effective HVAC units on the roof and dock doors in our distribution centers to reduce energy loss
• Installation of energy-saving LED lighting in all offices
• Implementation of more automated production processes to reduce equipment use and wasted resources
• Installation of efficient, programmable thermostats
• Installation of touchless faucets and toilets to reduce water waste
• Participated in “Go Green” program of electronic ACH payments which reduced operating costs by eliminating paper check handling and check depositing.

Enhanced Safety and Security Procedures:

• Implementation of OSHA required training for all team members engaged in manufacturing/production
• Establishment of a safety committee to ensure processes are in place to protect our team members in manufacturing/production and comply with all applicable regulations
