Information generated and connected from Ethernet-based networks are seeing a significant boost in prevalence as predictive maintenance analytics tools and cost-efficient sensors are driving Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) offerings to enterprises. Keysight Technologies’ KEYS Ixia is a prime example, as their IxNetwork’s latest innovation can verify TSN compliant IIoT devices. This allows device manufacturers to utilize an end-to-end network infrastructure performance testing solution.
Not only will Keysight’s devices allow IIoT device manufacturers to verify compliance of their devices with 802.1Qbv – a standard set by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) – they are also the first solution to reach the market. IxNetwork’s most recent set of validation test cases have demonstrated that this solution will help manufacturers manage larger networks and more powerful devices.
This solution is anticipated to be a major benefit to IIoT device manufacturers and is expected to generate more demand. According to Keysight, “Each IxNetwork test port emulates hundreds of Ethernet end-points with realistic behavior.”
Data collected from Ethernet-based networks continues to trend due to the implementation and adoption of new industry standards, which in turn increases the need for IIoT solutions in the marketplace. According to ResearchAndMarkets, it is projected that the global IIoT market will reach $949.42 billion by 2025. Considering this, Keysight is positioned to have a substantial contribution in meeting this need through their validation and monitoring solutions portfolio. Tessco is excited to continue working with Keysight, as their innovation will help further the propagation of IIoT tech throughout wireless infrastructure.
