As a result of the nationwide pandemic, originations spanning all industries, including Tessco, our supplier partners, and our customers, are facing unforeseen global supply chain constraints that are directly impacting our business.
At Tessco, we are doing everything we can to combat these obstacles to keep business running smoothly and efficiently. We are actively listening to what’s going on in the industry regarding freight and transportation, raw materials shortages, and more to help identify potential gaps in our business and determine the best way to maneuver around them.
As a company, we are pivoting the way we do business on a monthly basis, ready to adjust as needed to the market around us. One of the ways we are doing this is through extended market forecast – working with customers like you to plan ahead and add your pipeline into our demand planning system as early as possible. We are also getting weekly updates from our suppliers on their lead time changes, allowing us to use our demand history to forecast and order based on these new lead times.
How can you help? Be transparent with us! For example, if you have a project coming up but don’t know when you are going to issue the purchase order (PO), provide us with the order as early as possible so we can work on bringing in the material or get it in the pipeline so you won’t miss your project deadline.
Our goal at Tessco is to be open with you, our partners and customers, and to take a proactive approach to navigating the state of the industry today, delivering the best service we can to make doing business with us effortless for you.
