The Signamax 10/100/1000 to 1000Base SFP PoE+ Media Converter is AC powered and combines data received over a fiber optic link with up to 25.5 W of PoE+ power at the end of a 100 m cable run, which the powered devices can use in lieu of a separate power connector. The PoE+ power source equipment attribute allows the converter to provide power to either PoE or PoE+ powered devices using the twisted pair connection. This media converter is also equipped with power device signature-sensing, power monitoring features, and a 1000Base SFP receptacle, accepting a wide variety of 1000Base SFP modules for its fiber optic interface. A side-mounted slide switch is provided to enable and disable Link Fault Signaling and Far End Fault.
