Bias-T Kit with 2x Bias-T, 1x 50 Ohm Terminator, and 1x BNC

Comba's 7W22-BIASTKIT includes two (2) Bias-T, one (1) 50 Ohm terminator, and one (1) BNC - twin-lead adapter. Comba public safety BDA's utilize control channel signal levels in P25 based trunked system networks as the means for monitoring and alarming for donor antenna malfunctions.

Comba offers an easy-to-install / easy to use kit that includes all of the components necessary to provide the ability to monitor and alarm for donor antenna malfunction in non-trunked network applications.

Follow these steps below to install the Bias-T Kit on the Comba CRITICALPOINT™ 700/800 MHz BDA:

• Connect the RF port of the Bias-T device to the donor antenna/BDA
• Connect the 50 Ohm load and the alarm cable to each DC port
• The RF + DC port will connect to the donor coax
• On the Bias-T on the BDA side, connect the black and gray wires from the alarm cable to the BNC adapter
  • Connect your alarm cable to the AUX port
    • Note that you may need to strip back the outer jacket to expose the black and gray wires
• In the Web GUI, enable external alarm 4 by clicking on the “modify” button
